I live in a world where everything is consumed in an infinite void of too muchness. Where the duality of isolation and connection is tasted in the same bite, served on the ever illusive black reflective plate. I find connection through non-physical consumption, leaving me hungry for more. Giving me the illusion of being present under the guise of absence. Isolated with a black mirror reflecting the infinite flaws of “me” of being human.

I need to consume, create and produce more so that I can belong in the infinite loop of unbelonging. Where the duality of authenticity is celebrated but the ideas of what I have to do is reiterated. I subconsciously and consciously become overwhelmed by this non-physical reality, that it becomes a reality within myself to the point of feeling unable to function. It creates this endless uncanny loop that’s hard to escape.
I created for consumption, not because I needed it but because I had to feel needed and knowing that people will consume my works creates the illusion of belonging. Am I creating for myself, for society, or just something that will be consumed and be forgotten about? Why and what do I create?

Within the creation of the series I used video, sound and visual works that explore the ever-consuming world of infinite voids of too muchness. I manipulated these images into uncanny visuals that repeats itself, accompanied with eerie sounds echoing in the background. My process involved taking things from my physical environment and manipulating it into an abstracted repetitive image that creates unnatural imagery with little hints of the original object or image shining through. I subtly alter these visuals by adding ghostly movements that can only be accessed or viewed through a black screen, reiterating the difference between physical and non-physical reality. This whole process happened alongside the consumption of visual media.
